Editorial policy of the clipping earnings section

You are about to earn from clipping, or to order clips, and you want a straight answer before you spend time or money. That is what this section is for. Below are the rules it is written and updated by: they are short, and every one of them can be checked on any page you open.

One page answers one question ​

Every page has a reader's question it was written for, and that question is in the title. If two texts answered the same question, they are merged into one and the old address leads to the new one. Pages "for the query" that restate a neighbouring page in other words are not created here.

The three language versions - English, Russian and Ukrainian - answer the same question but are adapted to their reader: the comparisons list different platforms, the examples use different tax rules and different advertising prices.

Every figure has a source and a date ​

A number in the text is always one of three kinds: an indicator of the platform itself, a figure from another platform's documents, or a network rule from its official help. Where each kind comes from and how it is checked is described on who writes the guides and where the numbers come from.

One rule covers all three kinds: a figure carries a link to its source and the date it was taken. A figure without a source is replaced by the words "not published". The date in the page header next to "Updated" moves when the page itself changes: its text, title, description or the data on it. Service fields - the source snapshot date, the check keys - do not move it, so that readers and search engines see when the page really changed.

Other platforms are described from their documents ​

The comparisons name real platforms, their terms and their limits. The source for every row is their own terms, help and public pages, taken on the stated date. Every figure carries the date it was taken, and a figure older than a month is a reason to re-check it at the source. If a platform is closed to checking or answers with an error, the table says so, and the platform gets no grade by guesswork.

DareBay in those tables is a participant like any other. It sits in the same columns with the same fields, and where it loses, that is visible. Links to other platforms are not advertising: nobody pays for a place in a comparison, and the order of rows is not for sale.

What the section never promises ​

• Income. The texts contain a formula and worked examples, but never the amount "you will make".
• Timelines. Neither view growth nor a date of reaching some amount is guaranteed.
• Views. No text promises that a clip will clear the threshold it needs.

Everything the platform does guarantee about money is collected on one page, the payout guarantee. If a promise appears in the section that is not on that page, it is an error in the text, not a new term.

Language and terms ​

The texts are written in plain language, without sales hooks. Established words do not change from page to page: the people who cut clips are clippers; what they take on is a task; the balance on the platform where a task's money sits and where the reward arrives is the wallet. The payment method is never presented as the main reason to work on the platform.

Corrections ​

An error is fixed within a few days of being reported, and the header date updates with the correction. If the error is in the terms of a task itself, it is fixed in the product: the task card changes at once and the text here catches up at the next publication of the section.
