Pay for a paying user, not for an install
The creators in the network film short clips with your app on screen and post them on their own accounts. An install is free and costs nothing, so the result we count is a paid subscription, and we show which post brought it.
Frequently asked questions
- How do you link an install to a clip?
- On Android the store passes the referrer tag through, and on iOS attribution runs on the promo code and a confirmation inside the app. Aggregated store data is used for analytics only, never for paying a creator.
- Do we need to build anything into the app?
- Yes, the minimum: activation and payment events, and accepting a promo code. Without them we cannot see the result and can only launch a views task.
- How long is a subscription counted for?
- The attribution window is set at launch. Most take the first months of a user's life, so the creator sees the result quickly enough and has a reason to bring paying users rather than any users.
- I have a game, not a service. Does that fit?
- It fits if the game has a paid subscription or a purchase that can be counted. Games look good on screen, and that plays to the strengths of the format.
