Watch, vote, win
Most of the traffic on DareBay is neither organizers nor participants. It is viewers: people who scroll the feed, like what they like, and vote when a contest asks them to. You do not have to submit anything to take part in that.
Scroll the feed
The main feed pulls submissions from active contests and sorts them by freshness and engagement. Open any of them and you get the full rules of the contest it was entered into.
Like (or dislike)
Reactions matter. In RANDOM contests the system picks winners from the most-liked submissions. A like is not just "nice one": it is a vote that narrows the pool.
Comment
You can comment under any submission. Use that for real feedback. Piling on people who lost, and harassing participants, is a ban-worthy pattern and the fastest way to lose an account.
Vote (in voting contests)
If a contest runs on VIEWER_VOTING, every submission gets a vote button during the selection stage. One vote per account per contest. Vote totals decide the winner, and the money for their payout is already locked on the platform.
Inflated voting, sockpuppets, coordinated inauthentic campaigns: submissions get removed and accounts get banned for it. Your viewer rating goes down with them.
Why ratings matter
Every DareBay account has two ratings: organizer and participant. Viewers have no separate rating, but consistently good behavior (genuine likes, comments with substance, no harassment) is visible to moderators and counts in borderline cases.
