How to submit your work on DareBay: link and checks

Sending work in takes less time than reading this page. In a wallet-backed contest the prize is already locked on the platform by then, so you are working for money that exists; all you have to get right is the route. A submission enters a contest through the link you send. Publish the video and stop there, and your work is not in the contest and not in the budget split.

1. Find a contest that fits ​

Scroll the feed or filter by category. Open the contest card. Read the terms carefully: most disqualifications happen because somebody skimmed and missed a requirement.

Check:

• Is it still ACTIVE? (How winners are chosen.) (Closed contests do not accept entries.)
• Which format does it want? (Text, image or video, always just one.)
• The hard limits: language, originality, length.
• In a pay-per-view contest: the rate per 1000 views, the view threshold and the cap per submission. All three sit on the card and none of them move after launch, so you know the price of your reach before you open the editor.
• Are source materials attached? A buyer can attach them, and plenty do not. If the task has none, finding the source is your job.

2. Make the work ​

Actually make it. Stolen content, AI slop passed off as your own, other shortcuts: all of it gets removed and the accounts get flagged. Your participant rating follows you across the whole platform, and it is worth more than any single prize.

3. Send it in ​

From here the contest type decides everything. There are two routes, and mixing them up is the most common way to end up unpaid.

Pay-per-view contests (PPV) ​

The video lives on a public site rather than with us. Statistics are collected today for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and the other sites named in the task, and the contest terms say which one it wants. For Instagram it has to be a video with a view count: a photo post produces no such metric, so there is nothing to read. New to the mechanic? How pay-per-view works.

The order is:

1. Post the video on the site named in the task.
2. Come back to the contest card on DareBay and send the link to the published video.

There is no hashtag import. The platform does not crawl social networks looking for entries, so posting and waiting gets you nothing. A hashtag is required where the task explicitly asks for one, and it is mandatory if you are submitting anonymously - in that case the tag in the description is what shows the video was made for this task.

After that the platform's independent counter reads the published view counter on the site you posted on. Neither you nor the buyer types that figure in by hand. Moderation can still reject a submission that breaks the task terms.

Contests where you upload the work ​

Here the work is stored with us. On the contest page hit Submit, then follow the format:

• Text: type it or paste it.
• Image: upload (jpg, png, webp).
• Video: upload; the video goes into DareBay storage and is encoded for streaming. Stay within the size limit stated in the form.

You can add a short note explaining the work: it helps in contests where the organizer picks the winner.

4. Wait for the selection stage ​

After the entry deadline the contest moves into SELECTION_IN_PROGRESS. What happens next is decided by the selection type:

• Community voting: viewers vote, and you can share your work to gather support.
• Organizer decides: the organizer looks through the entries and picks.
• Seeded draw: the system shuffles every eligible active submission. Likes change nothing here.
• Pay per view: no picking at all. The formula splits the budget across every submission that cleared the view threshold.

5. If you win ​

You get a notification, and the platform records what you are owed with a status you can follow. In a wallet-backed contest that money left the organizer's balance back when the contest was created, so nothing depends on their goodwill at this point. Fulfilment itself can be processed by hand and carries no promised date. Entry is free, while withdrawal is a separate request with a minimum, a fee and processing by the team; the form shows the method available to you. For an ITEM prize the organizer gets in touch to arrange the handover.

6. If you do not win ​

That is fine. Enter the next one. Your participant rating grows simply from sending in real work and not breaking the rules: reputation is not built by winners alone.
