What to do about prohibited or dangerous content?

One report starts a review, and you need not find anyone to file it: a work or comment has Report in the ⋯ menu, an account has the link on its profile, and anything urgent or illegal goes to trust@darebay.com. In the zero-tolerance categories below there is no warning, only removal and a ban.

Zero tolerance ​

These categories are not up for discussion:

• Illegal content under the jurisdiction of the person reporting it and under DareBay's own jurisdictions: CSAM, intimate material shared without consent, incitement to specific violence, blatant fraud and the like.
• Threats of violence against real people or groups.
• Hate speech against protected categories.
• Harassment of specific participants, organizers or viewers.
• Doxxing: publishing private personal data without consent.

How to report ​

• On a submission or a comment: the ⋯ menu has Report.
• On an account: the Report link on the profile.
• Anything urgent or illegal that has to come down immediately: write to trust@darebay.com with a link and a short description. Trusted reporters get a priority queue.

What happens next ​

• The report goes into the queue straight away. Zero-tolerance categories jump it. We do not publish a response time, but these are read by a person and not by a ticket robot.
• Violation confirmed: the content is removed and the account banned, with no "three strikes" here. A wallet-backed budget held for the affected contest goes back to the organizer, and is withheld if the organizer was the one in violation.
• Not confirmed: the reporter gets a short explanation. Anyone who files reports in bad faith on a regular basis picks up restrictions of their own.

Legally ​

DareBay cooperates with law enforcement under the process in force in every jurisdiction where it operates. We publish a transparency report with aggregate statistics on the requests received and how we responded.
