What can I pay and get paid in?
A DareBay reward is money or a thing. When you launch an activity you choose how the reward is paid, and winners and creators receive it the same way. The available options are:
- Money — crypto or fiat, both work today.
- An item — a physical or described prize the organizer hands over.
- Telegram Stars — pay and reward directly in Stars.
- A Telegram gift — send a gift as the reward.
DareBay locks the reward up front and pays it out automatically by independently-counted results, so neither side gets scammed: the organizer can't disappear with the prize, and creators get exactly what was promised.
DareBay runs on the web at darebay.com and in Telegram (app, bot, group) — same account, same wallet, either front door.
Paying with money: crypto
The DareBay wallet accepts crypto for the money option. You can:
- Top up in crypto (supported stablecoins and chains — shown in your wallet's deposit screen).
- Pay for a contest's prize + commission from that crypto balance.
- Receive winnings in the same asset you deposited, or in the asset the organizer chose for the prize.
What's supported
The supported list is maintained in the wallet UI and updated as we add chains. As of launch, DareBay supports the major stablecoins on the widely-adopted EVM chains, plus a few non-EVM options.
Paying with money: fiat
You don't have to use crypto. Fiat (card, bank transfer, supported regional methods) works the same way. The wallet is currency-agnostic — what goes in stays in that currency until you explicitly convert.
Under the hood
For the money option, DareBay holds the locked reward in a TON smart contract and settles payouts in USDT-Jetton. That's the rail that makes the "locked up front, paid out automatically by results" guarantee work — it's one of several ways to be paid (alongside fiat, items, Stars, and gifts), not something you have to think about as a user.
Conversion
If you deposit in USDT and want to publish a contest with a prize in EUR, DareBay offers an explicit conversion step at the current rate. You see the rate and the final amount before you confirm; nothing happens silently in the background.
Privacy
Crypto deposits are tied to your DareBay account the same way card payments are — this is a prize-payout platform, not an anonymity layer. KYC requirements follow the jurisdiction you're in and the amounts you're moving.
