Watch, vote & win
Most of DareBay's traffic isn't organizers or participants. It's viewers — people who scroll the feed, like what they like, and vote when the contest asks them to.
Scroll the feed
The home feed shows submissions across active contests, sorted by recency and engagement. Open any work to see the full brief of the contest it belongs to.
Like (or dislike)
Reactions matter. In RANDOM contests, the system picks winners from the top-liked works. A like isn't just a vibe — it's a vote that narrows the pool.
Comment
Most contests let you leave a comment on a submission. Use it for real feedback. Trash-talking losers and harassing participants is a banned pattern — it's the single fastest way to lose your account.
Vote (in voting contests)
If a contest uses VIEWER_VOTING, each submission gets a vote button during the selection phase. One vote per account per contest. The totals decide the winner.
Vote rigging — sockpuppet accounts, coordinated inauthentic campaigns — gets submissions removed and accounts banned. Your viewer rating can go down too.
Why your rating matters
Every DareBay account has two ratings: organizer and participant. Viewers don't have a separate rating, but sustained good behavior on the platform (authentic likes, substantive comments, no harassment) is visible to moderators and affects how edge-case decisions go.
