Prizes & payouts
The loop is simple: you launch an activity (a task, battle, challenge, contest, or creative brief), people make their own content, and the winners or creators get the reward — fairly and reliably. This page is about that last part: how the reward reaches them.
It works the same whether you came in on the web at darebay.com or inside Telegram (app, bot, or group) — same account, same wallet, same reward. Two front doors, one platform.
Two things make the reward credible: it's locked before the activity starts and it moves automatically when winners are confirmed. DareBay sits in the middle as the guarantor — it holds the prize up front and pays it out by results, so neither side can get scammed. Both behaviours are just the way DareBay works; neither is optional.
What you can put up as a prize
A reward is either money or a thing. From there you pick how it's delivered — all of these options are available today:
- MONEY — paid in fiat (USD, EUR, PLN, UAH) or crypto. Both work right now; pick whichever suits you. Stored and settled through the DareBay wallet.
- ITEM — anything described in plain text ("signed vinyl", "weekend in Kraków"), physical or digital, including a gift. Delivery is coordinated between organizer and winner; DareBay doesn't hold items in escrow but does enforce the commitment.
- Telegram Stars — paid out as Stars to the winner.
- Telegram gift — sent to the winner as a Telegram gift.
You can mix tiers — e.g. 1st place: $500, 2nd place: a signed book, 3rd place: 500 Telegram Stars.
The wallet
Every DareBay account has a wallet. You top it up with:
- Fiat (card, bank transfer, supported regional methods).
- Crypto (supported chains and stablecoins).
Balance is shown in your preferred display currency but held in whatever you put in. Conversions happen at the moment they need to — not invisibly in the background.
Locking prize funds
When you publish a contest, the prize amount leaves your wallet's available balance and enters a locked state bound to that contest. Locked funds can't be spent on anything else. If you cancel the contest before it starts, funds unlock and return to available balance (minus any commission already taken — see fees).
Commission
Commission is taken off the prize, not charged on top. You see the exact amount in your currency before you confirm. It scales with your verification tier — verified accounts pay less.
Payouts to winners
When a contest finishes and winners are confirmed:
- MONEY prizes move from the contest lock to the winner's wallet. Settlement is near-instant in-platform; withdrawal to an external account follows the normal withdrawal rules.
- Telegram Stars / gift prizes are sent straight to the winner.
- ITEM prizes trigger a notification to both parties; the organizer is expected to deliver within the agreed window.
The guarantee is the same no matter which rail the money rides: the prize was locked up front, and it pays out automatically by confirmed results. DareBay is the guarantor in the middle, so neither side has to trust the other.
How payouts work under the hood
Crypto is one rail among several. For crypto prizes, DareBay uses a TON smart contract holding USDT-Jetton as the escrow, and pay-per-view rewards are paid out automatically by independently-counted views (an oracle-attested batch distribution at finalization). Fiat, Telegram Stars, and gifts ride their own rails — same up-front lock, same automatic, results-based payout. As an organizer or winner you don't have to think about any of this; it's just the plumbing behind the guarantee above.
