Submit a work
Entering a DareBay contest takes less time than reading about it.
1. Find a contest that fits
Browse the feed or filter by category. Open a contest card. Read the brief carefully — most disqualifications happen because someone skimmed the rules and missed a requirement.
Check:
- Is it still ACTIVE? (Closed contests can't accept submissions.)
- What format does it require? (Text / image / video — usually only one.)
- Any hard disqualifiers — language, originality, length limits?
2. Make the thing
Make it real. Stolen work, AI output passed off as original, and other shortcuts get submissions removed and accounts flagged. Your participant rating follows you across the platform — it's worth more than any single prize.
3. Upload your submission
Click Submit on the contest page. Depending on format:
- Text — type directly or paste.
- Image — upload (jpg, png, webp).
- Video — upload; videos go to DareBay's media storage and are transcoded for streaming. Keep it under the size limit shown on the form.
You can also include a short note explaining your entry — useful for creator-judged contests.
4. Wait for the selection phase
After the submission deadline, the contest moves into SELECTION_IN_PROGRESS. What happens next depends on the selection type the organizer picked:
- Community voting — viewers vote; you can share your submission to pull in support.
- Creator's pick — the organizer reviews and decides.
- Random among top-liked — the system picks.
5. If you win
You'll get a notification. For MONEY prizes, the funds are already locked in the contest — they move to your wallet as soon as the organizer confirms (or automatically, depending on selection type). For ITEM prizes, the organizer reaches out to arrange delivery.
6. If you don't
That's okay. Enter the next one. Your participant rating ticks up just for submitting real work and not breaking rules — winners aren't the only ones who gain standing.
